I was unaware of Advent calendars until a few years ago. My parents were secular, and although my family celebrated Christmas in a broad sense, we focused exclusively on the "family" and "togetherness" parts of the equation, rather than on the religious aspects. Years later, I married a Catholic woman, and I learned more about the ceremonies and the traditions that lead up to Christmas. The torso with the Ravagers design isn’t new, but has appeared only once in 76193 The Guardians’ Ship, making this a really budget-friendly way to get if you can’t afford the bigger ship! It’s a shame to see that LEGO advent calendars still can’t escape their usual tropes even when based on a source material as vast as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it’s only one day in what is otherwise a great variety of models. — LEGO Marvel 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar characters —LEGO Friends advent calendar: Designed with a focus on friendship and everyday activities, this calendar includes mini-builds related to the LEGO Friends characters. Of course, the real gem is the Aberforth Dumbledore minifigure who’s never appeared in a Harry Potter Advent Calendar before, so definitely worth adding him to your collection.

This can all mean only one thing: the Christmas season has arrived, with December just days away. LEGO advent calendars are really popular during the holiday season, and certain sets or themes may sell out or become harder to find as Christmas approaches, so be sure to get in early and grab yours to avoid disappointment.
